The final stage teaches more complex skills. Teenagers learn to understand and use commercial sewing patterns. They practice using cutting layouts, translating pattern markings and reading pattern instructions. We learn how to use different types of seams, inserting zips and making buttonholes. Students make simple garments such as pyjama bottoms, A line skirts and tops.
Lessons are £10 per week payable every half time in blocks of 5/6 weeks. Students will be asked to provide their own fabric when making clothes.
