Moving on to using a machine is very exciting! The second level of our children's courses teaches how to use the sewing machine. We learn all about the different parts of a machine, how to thread it, wind a bobbin and set different stitches. We also look at different machine feet and how to change and use them. We make larger projects such as bags and cushions incorporating all our new skills.
Children gain stamps in their sewing Passport to show how they have mastered various skills and at the end of this level they gain a sewing machine charm for their kilt pin.
Classes are £10 per week payable every half term in advance. Children may be required to provide their own fabric when they progress to make their own clothes.
There is currently a waiting list for this course but if your child would like to be added please register by clicking the link below.
